Send the link, or just tell someone the code — both attribute back to you. A code typed at signup wins over a stale click, so handing it to someone in person works exactly as well as a link.

Based on monthly billing. Commission is 20% of what they actually pay, excluding tax — so their first 3 discounted months are commissioned at the lower amount and the rest at list price. The over 12 months column already reflects that, so it is what one referral on that plan is genuinely worth. Weekly and annual billing are commissioned the same way on whatever each invoice charges.
Referring yourself or a second account you control earns nothing, and refunded payments reverse the matching commission. We may pause a code used for paid search on our brand terms, spam, or anything that misrepresents StockSense as an official partner. Terms can change for future referrals, never retroactively for commission already earned.

Do I have to apply?
No. Every StockSense account — including a Free one — has a referral code and share link waiting under Refer & earn the moment you sign up. There is no separate program to join and no approval step.
What does the restaurant I refer get?
Referral discounts apply to paid plans. Paid trials are 7 days on weekly billing and 14 days on monthly or annual billing; Stripe requires a card, then charges automatically when the trial ends unless canceled first. The Free plan needs no card and never charges. On annual billing the discount is applied as an equivalent one-time reduction on the single yearly invoice.
When do I actually get paid?
Commission is recorded every time a referred customer pays an invoice, then held 30 days in case of a refund. Once cleared commission reaches $50, it goes out to the PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle handle you saved in your dashboard.
How long does someone stay attributed to me?
Clicking your link sets a 90-day cookie, so they do not have to sign up the same day. Once they create an account the attribution is permanent — a later click on someone else's link cannot take it from you.
What is the commission actually calculated on?
20% of what the customer actually pays, after their referral discount and excluding sales tax. Trial invoices are $0, so they earn nothing until the first real charge. Refunded payments reverse the matching commission.
Can I refer myself?
No. A second account on the same email, or your own account, is rejected at signup and earns nothing.
Can I customise my code?
Once. You can swap the generated code for something memorable like MARIOS one time — after that it is locked, because a code that keeps moving would silently break every link you already shared.
Does the commission ever stop?
Yes — 12 months after their first paid invoice. They keep being a customer; you stop earning on them at that point.
